Two words coming out of my mouth very often as of late have been Joy and Orbison. But why? I hear you ask.
Well, this is definitely an instance when i can let the music do the talking…
Joy Orbison is one of the hottest and freshest producers building steam on the underground as we speak. Already getting massive support from dubstep’s finest as well as other crossover DJ’s such as Gilles Peterson, this guy is getting ready to blow. I only discovered his sound a few months ago, but as soon as I heard ‘Hyph Mngo’ (above) on his myspace player, I was hooked. This track literally oozes freshness and sounds like UK Garage waking up from a 7 year siesta, fresh faced and ready to kick ass. The track is due to drop officially on Hotflush Recordings in late August I believe.
